On Saturday, January 28th, almost 500 supporters and guests gathered at the Spear Center in Columbia to celebrate the Blue Jeans Ball, UCF’s annual anniversary and awards gala. We honored amazing individual and partners who contribute on so many levels to our mission. Please visit the event website to watch the honoree videos from this year’s program: www.ulmancancerfund.org/bluejeansball You may also view the Blue Carpet and event photos on our Flickr stream!
We were honored to have both Kristen Berset, breast cancer survivor, and WUSA9 weekend sports anchor, as our Master of Ceremony, and Brent Harris of Comcast SportsNet, as guest auctioneer, as we raised a record amount of money with our live and silent auctions. Jessica Protasio, a young adult cancer survivor, had the whole room in tears of celebration with her as she described how the Ulman Cancer Fund changed her life and how you can help change lives with the change in your pocket.
After dinner, catered by Catering by Uptown, and the honoree program, Baltimore band Head Rush got the crowd up and dancing to end the evening! It was such a great evening of celebration as we celebrated our 14th Anniversary with those who love and support the Ulman Cancer Fund.
Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and supporters – without all of you, we could not do what we do at the Ulman Cancer Fund.
Cancer changes lives… so do WE!
