Thank You for Making the Holiday Brighter!

The Third Annual Holiday Gift Drive for families affected by cancer was an incredible success!

When we first started to reach out to families affected by cancer around Baltimore and Howard County, we never could have imagined the outpouring of support, donations, and volunteer time that we received to help make their holidays brighter.  Each and every family was absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of gifts their family received this year.  However, it was the simple fact that people were out there that cared about them that made them truly ecstatic.

This year, we were able to serve 92 individuals, including 48 patients undergoing active treatment at 7 different cancer centers in Baltimore.  Thanks to your donations and the talents of a few great volunteers, we wrapped and delivered 285 gifts!  We were also able to collect over $1,600 in gift cards and $2,500 in monetary donations to help support these deserving families in their time of need.

What is even more incredible is that, in the process, we were able to connect several recently diagnosed young adults battling cancer here in our community with our support services.  It is these through connections that we can work towards achieving our mission of supporting and educating every young adult affected by cancer in our area and beyond.

We never would have achieved this incredible level of success without YOUR help, and for that, we cannot thank you enough.  Here’s wishing you a healthy and wonderful 2012 – you deserve it!

Happy New Year!
