Thank you from the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults!

On behalf of the staff and board of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation for coming out last week to support our Screw Cancer Brew Hope event! With over 300 people in attendance, it was a great event for many of the young adults we support to connect with others and for our supporters, both new and old, to learn more about the exciting programs and initiatives we are working on.

It was also inspiring and emotional as we recognized two of our 2011 scholarship recipients, Kelly Schwab and Corinne Zahlis and heard from Jessica Protasio, a recent liver transplant recipient and finisher of the 4 mile event at Survivor Harbor 7!

Special thanks to our wonderful volunteers, who once again, helped the event run smoothly; our band – the Anytime, Anywhere Band, who provided the entertainment for the evening; and our sponsors, (E-Structors, Mackenzie, CoreSource, PMI, Looney’s Pub, Evolution Craft Brewing, Underdog Wine Merchants) without your support, we would not be able to support and connect as many young adults affected by cancer as we do!

Please check out the pictures from the event, taken by volunteer Lauren Keller, on our Flickr feed.

Cancer changes lives… and so do we – with YOUR help and support!

Thanks again! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
